CS5 - worth it?

just wondering if anyone has discovered any real world features that make CS5 worth the price of upgrading...

i have no interest in using illustrator as a raster paint tool or doing animating in photoshop...

reason i ask is that i use the master collection. and upgrading is like $900

If you have an Intel Mac and if you need speed YES. Otherwise you can skip till CS6.

My old guideline was skip every other upgrade from Adobe - so you could pick odd or even numbers to remember when to upgrade. But my new motto is even easier... Screw Adobe.

Hope that helps.

It really depends on the work you do.

The best thing is to have a look at the features they offer and see if you like them in your work environment.

Some of my needs are solved by upgrading.

Selecting in Photoshop is much easier, as well as retouching.

In Illustrator the stroke problem has been solved, Creating behind or inside an object is also a big timesaver.

InDesign has a lot of timesaving options, rounded corners on the fly, switching between tools, cropping and resizing images made much easier.

But as said, it totally depends on the work you do
