The cucake mad looks a little bit to evil to go with the FairyCakes name....He reminds me of the skateboarding spitfire logo (i know they are way different, but that is what pops in my head)...also the little sprinkles will get lost when the logo is printed small. The typography is nice tho, like that... just doesn't match logo.
I agree with ladylee on the typography; your typeface is reminiscent of something familiar but I can't quite put my finger on it. I see the cupcake as happy, though she is right about the sprinkles getting lost when printed small. A logo should maintain its integrity at 1" the same as it should at 20'.

I like the type, and the base of the cupcake looks great....
