It feels a little low-budget and there's no real idea or emotion behind it.
On the technical side:
* The 'curl curl' text isn't easy to read.
* Script faces that repeat (eg: Curl Curl) show up the fact that they are computer created meaning that you lose the handwritten feel of them.
* The waves feel like an after-though.
* The coloured block behind the 'beachside' text is ill-balanced with the text above it (and appears more so because of the canted ends). Do you need it at all?
* The face you've chosen for 'beachside' and 'bed & breakfast' feels like an odd choice and the kerning is off.
That said, I could see this logo appearing in a holiday brochure - though whether that's a good thing, or whether I'd remember it is another matter.
Whould you say back to the drawing boards or keep trying with this one?
That depends - would you say that there was a strong idea behind this? If so, then focus on that and work with it. If not, then back to the drawing board and develop more ideas..
choose a better type.
try something more "nature".
yes I'm brazilian xD
Great name for a fun business. Why does this look like a Yellow Pages ad? Have FUN with it!
have a go hand drawing or painting the type 'curl curl'...this will aid the relaxed, free, and enjoyable nature of the business....
All good comments thanks guys
if it didn't say bed and breakfast underneath, i'd think this was the place to go get a jeri curl or my weave redone...
"Redone"?
take out the old one, put in a new one. redone.
So I'm guessing the hat photo was taken in-between? :-)
Better fonts will do it, get rid of the square for the tag-line try to start the first c on curl with a big curl representing a wave maybe of course make sure it still reads as a "C"
sorry, just don't work 4 me. I don't think the waves are necessary since it says 'beach" try putting "beach side bed and breakfast" on one line- curl curl is hard to read. use a different font, more classic and play with the "c"s- make them different
