you say it's for a contest... what's the criteria for judging? what are the rules of the competition? what are we supposed to be looking for? where is Kozhikode Kerala? Why did you choose "flames" for your designs?
having "Kozhikode Kerala" in a small font is kind of pointless here and the same applies to the "inovation at work" on an envelope or letterhead they may as well not be there because they'll be really small.
Aside from that, I like the red and black (green and blue) color combo and the font used for "CyberPark" works for me
"...and mamma cried: Watch out where the huskies go, don't you eat that yellow snow" - Frank Zappa
from everything you wrote i still have no clue what the company does, but form a purely visual standpoint, i think it would be even better if you brought the outer curve of the C in cyberpark into the inner curve of the flame and found a different place for "Kozhikode Kerala" maybe somewhere by the "inovations at work"
that being said, i think it looks really good
- the words I try to live by: "good is the enemy of great."
dude, three comments -
1. It has startling similarity with the dubai lynx logo ( if i remember correctly),
and resembles a persian/arabian artwork which may not go with either the
IT or Innovation angle.
2. Cyber Park should appear in the logo as 'Cyberpark' not as two distinctive
words (based on at least what they have given in their website) - may b like technopark
3. Imagination at work / harmony at work/ imagination @ work are all in existence.
having said these, I really liked the colour combination and the trebuchet font (is it??).
cheers

This is to the person who wrote the article linked above, If they are reading this,
The trouble is that governments are pretty much designed by their officials to confuse issues to leave themselves to be blameless. This leads to the current finger-pointing that you are now experiencing. So,depending on how ruthless the government involved is, the only viable solution is to irretrievably focus the blame onto someone who can actually do something about your issue, someone who's career might depend on helping you.
This may mean making an indirect public issue of it causing everyone to look for the person to blame, and thereby causing embarrassment to the government or to the organization. Your article / blog is an attempt at this, but I'm not sure it's local enough to make a local official nervous. You might try linking back to your article anonymously from various locally relevant websites to attempt to draw the attention of the popular local and national media writers... if possible you want your situation to be utilized by someone who will use you as one of several examples.
Or you could attempt to enlist someone to your cause who maybe wants to look better, and will think that helping you win, will help them rise in rank somehow... and really this might be the best option if you can find that person, but again you want to manipulate the situation so that they somehow come to your aide without your direct influence, because you don't want to end up owing a favor if you can help it.
The goal here is, worst case: you get acknowledgment of your work, best case: you get acknowledgment and paid, and all of that without being executed or going to prison or publicly humiliated yourself.
This means it's crucial that you use an indirect strategy so you are not blamed directly for any discomfort the person now responsible for paying you will feel. Rather, you want this person to feel as if paying you will be the best option for making the discomfort go away.
Otherwise they may just feel that if they make YOU go away, their problem goes away, and you definitely don't want that. of course, killing you seems unlikely for such a small issue, so that probably will mean public embarrassment of some form to discredit you, but then I don't know your government officials.
Another consideration, if you belong to a graphic artist's organization they may be willing to help you since this would benefit all graphic artists in the future and that would give you more legitimacy.
in the end, you may decide that it's easier to let it go, and I should note here, that I have never had to do anything like this myself, this is just some possible general solutions that I see, and, if it were me, I would never do any of that, I would just let it go and move on.
