Daniel Bryan Creative Solutions

Hi all,

Please review, comment, and criticize to your heart's desire the logo for Daniel Bryan - Creative Solutions. I'm in the midst of creating my company, and I find it's easier to design a logo identity for a client than it is for myself.

The idea is to focus on branding, social networking, web dev / design for clients looking to start small business'.

This is what I have come up with so far. Although I am satisfied, perhaps there is something I'm missing, or you perceive it differently than I do. If there are any suggestions for an icon (if needed) please suggest some ideas.

Regards,

DB

The font choice is definitely interesting, and I like what you did with the L/B. I'd say sketch out some more ideas, this comes off as generic, and if you're going to work on branding, you need to have an impeccable brand yourself.
Good luck, you're right it's always hard designing for yourself.

i love the interplay of the LB. but i think both characters will meld into a single B when its reduced.

sometimes you compromise one feature if the overall concept is strong enough. this might be one of those times...

Good start. I like the look and feel, although I'm reading the L/B as L/R.
Your tagline will likely be illegible at certain widths too.
Suggestions:
1) Consider exploring a combination of lowercase d and b as an icon.
2) If you can tell me what a 'creative solution' is, then keep it as a tag line.

Write a wise saying and your name will live forever – Anonymous.

I'm generally with the others - there's an idea here, but I think you need to tweak the L/R/B thing some.

I'm totally feeling 'hair salon' or 'designer shampoo'.

Without my sense of direction, I don't know where I'd be.

Thank you everyone for the feedback.

That's the tough part leaky penny... to "have an impeccable brand yourself" when you're using your actual name for the company. That is specific to a design based company as opposed to if I were Daniel Bryan Electric. I'm sure somehow I could insert an electrical current in the company name or an electrical outlet and I would find that somewhat easier then associating the name daniel and bryan to project a creative company brand.

Furthermore...
What are people's thoughts on using your name for a creative company as opposed to something like... carrot creative? I came across their company name yesterday (I like the overall concept and design of this logo), and it's apparent that there is a plethora of business names that will take an obscure object, or tasty vegetable (in this case) and use it to brand their design firm.

@caoimghgin - It will be further known as Daniel Bryan - Styling Products "We care for your hair" :)

Not a big fan of the random, awkward creative brands like "fuzzy mango design" or "nifty narwhal creative". If you got a memorable name with a bit of groove in it it can often prove to be a good brand name.

I get a nickel every time you use that.

you should go into business with that 'frozen lemons' guy. With your business naming abilities combined you could take over the world.

I think the "B" part should extend more on the bottom, connecting with the L.

Hi Sherry,

After the comment about it looking like an "R" I did exactly what you wrote. Thanks though, I appreciate the feedback.

I like it, and with your fix on the B I think you'll have something.
