Define a size in a Flash file?

This one is complex. We have been used to designing web banners in flash, exporting it as .swf and sending it off to the media for insertion into their webistes.
Recently we've been having some problems where the guys on the server side in Candad who keep asking us to "define the size of the flash file"
How do I do this? And what does this mean? They are saying they are having problems to put into the media's website because of this.
Is this something that is missing in the CODE of the HTML file controlling the SWF file?
any ideas?
Thanks.

could they just be asking you to give them the dimensions of the flash file?
But we include the size on the file NAME itself and then when the problem cropped up we thought the same thing. . .so we SENT the dimensions via email. . . no dice they now want us to send an animated GIF (yuck)
I'm stumped.

Whenever we've created flash banner ads, they usually specify the sizes, say the standard 468 x 60px for the physical size, and 12k for the download size. Could they mean that? Not sure why they would ask for this when it's easy to find out...
. . . it could MEAN that he media person has the WRONG size and when we send it the Canada guys realise it WON'T fit and want HIM to tell THEM the size, not us! LOL In my country you can't rule out this kind of insanity! LOL

Have them give you the url to an example of the size they want, and compare it to yours. If they are different, there's your answer.
If your swf is too many K's in size (many ads need to be 16K or less!) you might have to simplify your ad's design/remove frames.

I didn't think of teh size being the "file size" only dimensions. Thanks for that.
Man HOW do we keep flash flies below 16k?! There's some pretty complex sh|t going on in some of our stuff how does one keep the size down?
