You have to work it a little more, it´s the begginning of a nice logo, the sthetoscope and the mollar don´t go! one is a tooth and the other is to listen to vital signals, investigate, maybe a dentist mirror (http://www.dentaldocsforkids.com/ , http://www.dealbaorthodontics.com/) this page shows you a nice desingned page and some ideas) may be a solution take more info to desing your logo so you can be more accurate, as the pro say the more you know the more you can deliver, check this sites they have pics that can help you get the idea, http://kidshealth.org/kid go logo shopping, it´s good some times to see what other doctors are into and see what is his specialty, cosmetic. children, implants, roots, pathology, now days they have tons of specifications though. The type is more as an id card than a logo, you could play with fonts, this one is so overcooked, many people tend to use it and it could have something less traditional, but the tooht is good... In whole looks appleish the white and black kind of conbination... Later

The byline (or slogan in this piece) is very clever. I'm not sure how potential clients or already loyal clients will intepret this message. The term roots is very on-the-fence, but it offers the cliche nicely.

The Logo i think is very nice. Depending on your clients budget(s), is where you would go with more edits, changes and following feedback from others.

The color is neutrally perfect. (the blue)

taking dentistry back to the roots...

i dont think i get it right.
but what i imagine is that they are primitive or at least, classical.
i want my teeth done with phasers and lasers in 5 min without pain or noise.
