designLINE
designLINE (5 pencils) | Tue, 2007-10-30 19:10Hi everyone! This is my preliminary logo for my freelancing. My experience includes printing and web design. I chose the name designLINE because my work tends to have very clean lines and smart edges (if that makes sense) Please let me know what you think and any suggestions you have are welcome!

Great logo! I'd just say make 'creative' a little bigger to more effectively match/go with 'designline'.
The rule between them is too thin and light for print or web, methinks.
Otherwise, even the preview image looked good to me. :)

The font you used for "design line" doesn't quite do it for me... maybe it's the mini serfis... You may also want to re-think the number of colours you're usign in case the logo is intended for print it'll be expensive. I would also try to incorporate some concept into the design, so far I don't see why a client should choose you over anyone else... what makes you stand out as a designer?
I agree. Although this logo is clean, it doesn't really have anything unique about it. Sure there are lines over the type - but it doesn't say anything, other than maybe "under the bar" to me. It's not very memorable.
I don't consider the vertical line and the "creative" part of the logo, btw - nor do I think they should be - they would work in a banner setting though. I'm also assuming that the gradients will be used for web purposes, and you'll drop it to a solid color for print - correct?

Maybe we could see this logo in black and white, without the creative attached -- just to see how it's looking then?
