Desktop icons restarts Finder

I have icon previews on for the Desktop and sometimes when I overwrite an image on the desktop with an icon that shows the content of the file the Finder restarts. I had this issue before 10.3.8. .8 fixed it. .9 broke it again. Oh well! :/
