Did anyone see it, but me?
I was on www.netscape.aol.com last wednesday, I believe. On their landing page, an ad by ABC.com about Desperate Housewives on the left side became a pop-up that had a transparent background over the rest of the page and ABC logo splashed on the page with a watery effect. I have seen this watery effect with Mac OS and widgets but never with a pop-up. I believe that it was a flash ad with some sort of javascript running it. But not sure. I tried to look at the source info, but could not find out quickly what it was and I had some place to go. I have not seen it again. Maybe this has been around but this is the first time I had seen it.
If you had seen it, do you know how they did it? If I do find out how they did it, I will let you all know.
Thanks
It'd most likely be some kind of basic actionscript within flash
I'd have a google and see what you can find.
I tend to find www.actionscript.org is good for this kind of thing.
It's also entirely possible to do something like that with a standard animation using motion tweens and alpha layers.
Not having used flash for ages I can't remember the exact details but it's definitely do-able.
