DIE Epson Printer Utility
mrbuhyah (250 points) | Thu, 2005-05-05 20:57I am just about ready to round up the three Epson printers in my house and take a sledge hammer to them. First off, Epson Printer utility still does not support our 777i. This is a major pain dans la a$$ when trying to figure out which ink is dead.
Then, when I have printer sharing turned on under Tiger, I can't even run the utility on my Photo 820. I just get the frigin beach ball for ever. I have to turn off sharing and reboot - not fun.
Then there is the gazillion of times these ink heads clog and require cleaning - which is a pure ink drain. Overall I hate my Epson printers as each day goes buy. Once I get some more money I plan to go laser - or a new ink jet company.

I was able to fix the 777i by running a shareware program available off Versiontracker called the Apple Printer Repair Utility for Tiger.
