dinner dance invitation

I'm working on this invitation for a party the Brooklyn commerce is throwing. They mentioned they wanted something with a hint of art deco but with a modern feel so I made this pattern with circles in the ratio of 12" vinyls. The budget isn't uge so I'm thinking of printing it with the gold color as actual gold and I think I found two reasonbly priced online printers who do that. Vistta print gives you the option of an extra foil ink that goes under the 4 colors. And 4over has an option of adding a fifth pantone color (I would pick a metallic one)

Does anyone have any suggestion for he design which I'm going to show the client with a few other samples tomorrow or any experience doing the said specialty with inexpensive online print companies?

I like the design although it is hard to see in this posted size I like the design, fonts and placement of the title. The only thing that might be an option might be to try different combinations of colors that are compatible with one another.Possible give your client a few options in the same design.
nice work

Design is cool and is successful in being an art deco feel but I don't think the transparency is working for me. Not very art deco. :) Can you just use white and make the background pattern smaller? Then more of it will show in the borders, left and right.

The first thing I thought was Art Deco, so I think it's successful on that level. I like your color choices. I too am not sure about the transparency, but overall I like the design.

Overall, very nice. I agree about the screen, though. Off the top of my head, that seems the exact opposite of a Deco look -- but you may have found a period inspiration that proves me wrong about that!

Wow this site is pretty cool. Awesome feedback. Alot of you said that the screen wasn't art deco. As I metioned before, my constraints for this project was to combine art deco and modern. I think this solution will be one the client sees, and one like natobasso said with a pure white in the middle. And then I have another design as well.

Sensitive type treatment - very nice. Art deco is not my favorite design era, but you know it when you see it, and you get it immediately in this design.
