Discovering programs that keep OS-X from going to sleep?

Sometimes OS-X will not go to sleep. I really find this behavior annoying and disruptive. I would like to track down what programs are causing this. I know for a fact that the BIT Torrent client Transmission can prevent OS-X from sleeping. I'd like to know if any other stuff on my computer is causing this conflict.

Anyone got any advice?
