Do Not Disturb door knob sign

They are look for different ways to communicate "Do not disturb" So my concept is the old cliché "Sleeping like a log" I chose not to put words on so the view has to figure it out when the sign is in the appropriate setting, a hotel room door. Let me know whatch yall think.

If I saw that on a door.. I would more think they were having a party..
That log could also be taken for a glass of beer and a party hat.. (I'm tired)
I am gonna scrap it, maybe use a photo or maybe draw a better log, or just scrap it all together. I can see the beer thing (I was thinking it myself). Back to the drawing board.

I like it! I do kinda see the beer thing, but not really. It is cleaver. I would change the colors around, i don't like the background, the log color, or the hat color, but the concept is awesome.

Another way about your sleeping like a log is making the card in Delicious Monster style.. Tree background with perhaps a black symbol or something?
How about laying it horizontal? Most logs are horizontal, most people sleep horizontal, most beer is not... A couple of well placed "Z"s and it is pretty clear.
I think the cliche is actually a saw sawing a log, isn't it? Otherwise I like it. I think the colour needs a bit of tweaking but I still like it.
The log doesn't look like he's sleeping.... first of all, he's sitting upright. How about some Zs or something? I don't know... I'm trying to brainstorm... maybe drooling... but the drool be sap? har har. :P Nothing wrong with at least trying to personify him with a face.
change up the colors a bit. the background color is too similar to the color of the log. also try http://creativebits.org/weblink/goto/45 for some color scheme ideas. i also like pokie's idea about the sap ^_^ lol
If it's well illustrated I think it's not a cliche since the medium is so approprite to the message.
personally, at first sight It didn't convey sleeping like a log to me. My first thought was that you were trying to convey "cabin fever", which is a bit different :)
who will be noticing these do not disturb signs? The maids and cleaning personell? If that is the case good luck with them understanding this incinuation.
Otherwise, Id say add a little moon to help out the illustration. I absolutely love it otherwise. HAts off"...
