Does anybody know why this is happening to my template?
onegirlcreative (1092 points) | Fri, 2008-05-30 17:23I purchased this auction template on eBay, and implemented it to my auctions this morning. However, as you can see from my screenshot, the top banner isn't aligned with the rest of the template. Obviously, I have asked the designer/seller about this and she tried a few things, but nothing seems to change it. I haven't changed any code, just added a different picture, which she says shouldn't change the top banner part. Basically, after all is said and done, she doesn't know why this happened and immediately refunded my money.
However, I like the template and would love to figure this out and get it looking right, and out of respect for her, I would love to give her a reason why this is happening. This is why I am asking you professional folks out there in CreativeBits land.
She created this on a PC, and obviously I have a Mac. Not sure if that would do that, but perhaps it is. If interested, e-mail me and I can send you the code if it's easier to see that way.

Could be positioning issues. Was the template structured in a table or 'divs'+CSS? But why buy a template? I'm sure you can whip out something like this or a much better looking one.

I have posted the question to her and asked. Hopefully, she'll respond quickly.

Or I'm just too lazy. Don't know which one yet. I just wanted something cool and simple (without the hassle of trying to figure it out myself) for my POP ART auctions.

She said she has to use both because apparently eBay has an old editor and can't use just divs, she said it would affect the whole look, therefore messing it up.
I hope this makes sense.

Its the orientation! lol
hmmmm looks like THAT particular gif/png file was saved or coded to look upside down. . .
but I guess you already knew that and this post won't help in any way! lol

If you can get a hold of the code and send it to me I'll look at it.
I imagine this person designed it for IE and not for FF or Safari. They oftentimes handle css and divs differently.
