This is a crazy idea for my own logo. After trying and trying to come up with a good concept, I got frustrated and decided to try and do something very plain, yet tasteful. I went back to the basics and used only black type. I don't know if I achieved my goal of "stylish simplicity" so I am posting for you to blast your comments my way.

Sorry, but this one isn't working for me. I'd revisit the paper and pen and post a few to comment on.

I actually did a few sketches for this, but since it was pure typography, I posted the final result. I probably need to wait a couple of days before I get back into it, hopefully I will come up with a fresh concept.

The vertical line creates separation rather than unity so I'd ditch it in your future versions.
Definitely strive for a consistent look in your logos, I think that's the jist of the font comments here.
