Drag & Drop FTP? (Applescript?)

The only Konfabulator widget I miss having around is the "Drop FTP" widget, which I could set an FTP site (including the directory) in the prefs, then simply drop a file on the icon and it would upload automatically and give me a nice little notification that it's done. It's basically like an alias file to an FTP site.
Anybody know of a tool that does something similar? I want a Drag & Drop solution If I have to open/launch/or interact in any way with the app, it's no good because I already have Cyberduck for my full FTP needs.
Is this perhaps something that Applescript Studio would provide the means to create?

Yup.
FTPDroplet by SubRosaSoft will do exactly what you want. The new version 2.x isn't free like the version 1.x that I'm using. I need to look into this new version to see if it's worth upgrading to the paid version.
The cool thing is that you can copy the little mini-app as many times as you want, and set the upload path differently for each one. I have 3 iterations of it in my dock for each of my 3 distinct folders on my Comcast space, and I think I may make another copy or two for other spaces I want drag-n-drop functionality for (SpyMac and my brother's .Mac space, for example)

Well, I guess I should think about what I already have before I look for something new.
Stuffit Deluxe comes with an app called StuffIt Express which allows you to set up "Drop Boxes" and assign many different actions to them, including compressing the file, uploading it to an FTP site and sending an email to the FTP recipient to let them know the file has been uploaded all with a quick Drag & Drop. I totally forgot about this app because I never actually used it, but it was simple to set up, only took about 5 minutes to set up 3 different drop boxes.
I'm pretty sure I'll stick with what I have, since I already own the software, and it works perfectly. FTP Droplet actually looks pretty good, (actually, it looks like a rip-off of JonnyCat's ImageWell application) but it doesn't offer the ability to automatically send an email to a specified client with a preset message including the name of the file uploaded.

Hmm...
I don't have the latest version of StuffitDeluxe because I've found that "Create Archive" in Mac OS X does pretty much everything I need it to do, but StuffitExpress does sound like it has some nice features.

I was in the same boat as you... When I got a new G5, I decided not to bother installing StuffIt Deluxe because OSX's archive feature was perfect for compressing files, and OSX comes with StuffIt Expander for free.
But then I remembered this StuffIt Express app and kicked myself for not using it all this time...

I use the CTRL click create archive too. Both droplet solutions sound interesting. Will check them out.
just saw this one...

I've given up looking for something because Stuffit Express does all I need and more.

That it wouldn't take much to setup a small app that invokes the ftp command....And they want to charge $5 for it. Oi.
