captonjohn (347 pencils) | Mon, 2011-02-28 10:20This is just a photo manipulation, a concept art for a flying land in a world of dreams. Critiques awaited on art perspective.

what means the nestle?
yes I'm brazilian xD
ahh, there is no specific reason for nestle but I added it because of birds habits of nesting on heigh structures like trees, buildings etc. Also there were no life in scene and I wanted to see some live things so bird nest was quite suitable and fits on natural habits of birds.

This site is meant for design work rather than art. Design has very clear communication where art has a degree of interpretation.
Images of cuthlu tentacles of the apocalypse just makes me uncomfortable. This sort of art reminds me of the stuff I thought was really 'cool' when I was 14 years old, just when I was discovering girls made me feel all tingly in my unmentionable regions as my voice was changing and I had a lot of acne problems.
ANYWAY, speaking as a photoretoucher I'd say there is plenty of room for improvement. A lot of shadows that can be tweaked and honed to bring the realism you're after. I'd consider studying airbrush techniques and see where that takes you.
Without my sense of direction, I don't know where I'd be.
Tell me the difference between design and art. A design is an art dude because it also needs detailing, observation and problem solving. You are saying this just because you haven't seen any stuff in this website which comes in its class. I don't think this creativebits has made such limitations and if they do then it loss its purpose. This site is for ideas which can be discussed, criticized and developed so why should we limit ideas only from a specific areas?
By the way, I welcome suggestions from a photoretoucher and seriously consider them to improve it.
