dsauna logos second round

Hi everyone,
Well, I'm here with my second round. I think I came up with much better ideas with my personal logo.
1. custom created type, each letter is created with the same shape
2. Design Designs. the idea here is using square or D.
3. the prosess of design, from the sketchbook to illustrator.
Please let me know what you think.
Thanks in advance

on the second one, I mean
on the second one, I mean Dsauna Designs.
I like...
2a. But it seems the icon is conflicting with the type. I would ease up on the words "Dsauna Designs" and concentrate more on the logo.
The others simply don't work for me.

I'm leaning towards your third concept, but would remove the graph and splice out instead sketched pieces of the "D". Kind of like little floating sketched squares moving towards the more solid right-hand side of the D. Then, I would make 'DSAUNA DESIGN" the same size and either stack it beneath the logo's icon, or run on same line alongside the graphic. Also, as Leaky Penny pointed out, take care not to have your text and icon competing.
Good luck. It's never easy designing for oneself.

Hi 3dogmama, thanks for the
Hi 3dogmama, thanks for the feedback, but I don't quite understand what you mean by slicing out the pices of the D.
For now I just placed the text in there. Once I have a concept, I will play with the kearning, font, positioning. etc.
Yeah, I think designing for oneself, is the hardest thing
Hi dsauna. It's so much
Hi dsauna. It's so much easier with a sketch, isn't it? What I meant was to use geometric-based squares and rectangles to relate to the computer pixels component of our industry, but not have them computer generated looking. Rather, have them roughly sketched and floating in from the left to join up with the already begun forming D. Thus showing the marriage of technology and creativity. I hope this makes sense. :)

haha, yes it's better with a sketch. But I can of understand what you're saying, but as nato mentioned, clients won't know what the bessie curves are.
I was thinking maybe of using the first one, making the A's more readable, since I got feedback from people saying that it reads dsnunn right now. That way it'll be a very simple logo, kind of like let the rest speak for itself. what do you think?
I'll post a new version soon.
What does DSauna Design(s)?
What does DSauna Design(s)? represent exactly? What work do you do? What is your style? You're not answering these questions with any of these logos.
Don't mess with the fonts unless you spend the time to create the entire font. Right now the fonts look awful. Sorry!
Start stripping away all the excess elements (how many of your clients know what a bezier curve is?) until you're left with the raw, simple elements and you'll be closer to having a logo system.

I do all kinds of design. I don't specialize in one thing, that's why I wanted to give a more abstract shape, I 'm kind of leaning towards the first one, but I still have to work on it.

I think you have a great point there
"I do all kinds of design".
"I do all kinds of design". This can't possibly be true. You must have some sort of focus or interest?

I do; logos, websites,
I do; logos, websites, stationaries, animations, posters. I love everything that is design. What I love the most is logos and posters, pretty much everything that is challenging. Although what I do the most is websites, cause that's what everyone wants now.
I hate to be a broken record
I hate to be a broken record here, but you really need to read What is a Logo post on CB. A logo isn't what you do, it represents you. It should give an impression, not say everything about you. That's what I'm trying to get at.
You can't be all things to all people. If your style is modern, make a modern logo. If it's classic, do that. If it's rough and earthy media, do that. See what I mean?
What you have right now doens't indicate anything else. There's none of the passion you're showing me with words in this post. Your logo needs to represent your passion, or no one else is going to get it.

Think of your logo...
...as your clothing. Sure, you're a fireman, but are you going to dress as one all the time just so people know you are? I know you're a classy guy by the fancy suits you wear. I know you're a rough and tumble type of guy by the jeans and denim shirts your wear. If you wear baggy clothes and backwards hats (bear with me here) it says something about your style, not necessarily about what you do. You logo will attract people to you, and seeling yourself will convince them you can do the job.
I honestly don't knwo where I was going with this, so try and take whatever bit of wisdom you can out of my rant.

if your style is modern...
if your style is modern... then 2a is for you! But remove the big D2 above, use only the logotype - dsauna, make the color of d in red and the rest is black, and about the word design, you can justify it (end2end).. that's all, straight to the point.
just my view... :)

3 is the best but none have punch.
The benefit of the grid in 3 is you can select perhaps 2 core colours and colour it randomly then perhaps another 4 other colour and tone options for different useage.
It's the most flexible.
