duplicating image in circle in illustrator?! please help

Group them together. Then select the circle (that would be on top of both images) and choose "Make Clipping Mask" now you have two images (which are the same) repeated in one circle.
Is this what you mean?

thanks! not exactly, but we managed to get it right in indesign. i've done it before in illustrator, but i can't seem to get it right now. will try and let you know! thanks in anyway!
