dvd slide show software

I have a PC with Windows XP and I want to create slideshows with photos and music. It would be nice if it had some cool transitions and the ability to do titles. I am definitely not a computer expert, I just would like a fun way to display photos on DVD that someone could play on their TV or computer. I have a friend that uses Digital Album Master and says it's simple, so one thing I am looking at is Digital Album Master. Would this be the way to go, or is something else better?
