eco tee

eco tee

We are eight girls with a small business called Eco Tee, where we make t-shirts. For each t-shirt we sell, we will donate a small sum of money to an orginization that helps save the environment. Therefore - Eco Tee.

Our idea is to have the page as simple as possible while we showcase our idea. When we think "environment" we think calm and smooth colors that blend together, and in the text we were thinking of having the same shade of green as there is on the tree inside of the t-shirt displayed in the logo.

We are not professionals and this is school related. However the point is to make our company public so for that we need a good website. Please help us.

Here's what we got so far. The logo and t-shirt inside the white frame are not vector and have been streched multiple times. So we know that they're blurry and grainy. We will fix this once the first draft is done.

Sorry that the buttons are in norwegian.

This site is about your t-shirts, so design it around them. My suspicion it that this will feel too cramped with the t-shirt photography in place.

The logo is also quite basic and could do with some work. Namely: think about the job you want it to do and how it is going to be used. What should people feel when looking at it? What should it remind them of? How will it be used? Will the text always be used, or will it just be the t-shirt image at times? Will the logo be printed onto the t-shirts or on labels? Where else will it be used, and how?

I think you are right to keep the site simple, but design starting with the content, not with its surrounds.

This is very bland, extremly boring. You should research t-shirt companies on the web, there are hundreds of them. I hope you aren't designing it in Flash.

You might want to try aligning stuff too.

I liked the innocent, candid concept of this business.

It's a start, but I feel a LOT more work is needed in the area of your logo design...the T-shirt looks prego or sporting a beer belly imo.

I'd also drop the boxed-in look and green background and keep it open, airy and white with green and dark brown text to get across your earth-friendly endeavours.

Yes - drop the box. That's not helping anything. If you just took out the box and left everything else the design would be better. Listen to your mama and keep it simple and earth-friendly looking. The innocent charm will enhance the business end imo.
