Error "206" partial content

hey guys, i just checked my weblogs and in the HTTP status code section it lists the following:

Status code: 206 Partial Content

hits: 783

bandwidth: 338mb

I have a feeling it means people tried to download a 30mb file but quit after 15mb and then that 15mb gets logged as partial content. anybody know for sure?

thanks. I did a google search but couldn't find anything useful as i was wading through all the RFC stuff. this link breaks it down in plain english.
