Etc Tv Logo
I´m actually working on this logo for a local kids Tv channel, I´m not sure about the colors yet..probably black it´s not the best...still looking for the best combination, I have work the weight of the strokes and spaces between the shapes so it look good when placed as a tiny logo in the corner of the screen...and at the same time..maybe used in 3D when bigger.. any way...here it is...

I love the ' Kids Channel ' to this logo, I agree about strokes need to be worked on.

Looks good and definitely fits into the kid category. The colors definitely need to be tweaked. I think on a lot of TVs (particularly older tube TVs) those colors will seem entirely too bright and distracting

Disagree. That green is practically Nickelodeon green. And that purple might be a compliment of their orange... The strokes work for me. Even the blackness does. Once the logo becomes small (see thumbnail) those strong outlines reinforce the letterforms inside of it. Maybe like to just see it with a little less weight... Maybe.
One thing that bugs me is the letters "TV" being of a narrower variety of the face. A little less-squat than the "etc." What typeface is that?

why dont you use the tv-out from your computer and see the real thing on a real telly? color, size and strokes should then be easy to tune if they are not already good. I tried this and I have to say the green looks lighter and more pleasant and the purple is about the same, maybe it has a certain glow.
if tv-out is a problem, make a 800x600 jpeg with the logo scaled in different sizes, upload the jpeg to your digital camera, connect the camera to a TV.

I like the chunkiness of the logotype and clumsiness of the logo symbol. It works very well. I like it with the black. I think it will be very memorable and works on the corner of the screen too.

My mind wants to see the TV baseline aligned with the logotype. Or perhaps tilted a bit more so it may be higher up. It's feels too inbetween rightnow.
