Evolution
BrookeBridges (6 pencils) | Mon, 2007-10-15 18:11This was a class assignment for a design and motion graphics course I'm currently taking. Our instructor randomly selected a company from a phone book, and we had to create a logo with nothing to go on but a name. My company was Evolution Audio. I have no idea what they do, or what thier current logo is, but i did my best to come up with a logo based just on the name :)
This is my first logo, so please tear me apart gently :)

The first one might work better if you created the sound bars as a mark on its own separate from the type, though I'm guessing probably not a very original idea. It's a bit clumsy as it is now.
The second one is my favorite. I really like the silhouette of the E with the headphones. Though I think the type treatment could use work, it feels very separate from the mark. Work on making it more cohesive.
The last one really isn't clear enough to read as an E and an A.
Hope that wasn't too harsh.

Thanx! :)
I agree I like the second one better, but it has to be more integrated with the text, maybe replace the e from the word evolucion and put the mark in place with more kerning. Hope it helps
