The white space below if for the sponsors, but it can't be shown for this purpose.

for the future :)
I like the image with the wheat. I like the logo too. It's a good solution to complete separate the many sponsors with a band of white.
Concerns:
1. I think there is a composition problem on the poster. The way the elements are put together feels a bit accidental. I would've put the logo in the center top and the bodycopy list elements on the center bottom. (God, I'm talking like writing CSS. :) Or any other composition, but currently it feels unbalanced and top heavy.
2. The logo is too big. I know clients like big logos, but it's still too big. :)
3. You need some white space in the list. Everything is too close to the edges.
It seems like the heavy white boarder on the logo area kills that area. I think you could have treated the logo area the same as the type area next to it, then the image area would have been less lost. Maybe just a thin white line to seperate the areas.

I want as Ivan says the image should be all over
My Idea is to take the logo and make it look like it's naturally burned into the bread hehe
The word "pan" on the logo is off center (I don't know if you made that or not, but it is!).
I think the logo being that big wouldn't be such a problem if the border wasn't so white... I probably would have made it the same goldish brown the other elements are.
But, I really love the color scheme... gold and red, makes it look super classy. Good job, I do like it!
oh so phallic... doesnt anyone see it...
OH GEEZ. Now I do. Get your head out of the gutter. ;P
I gotta admit... That was the first thing I saw too. It kinda freaked me out.
