film fest beer coaster

I am having trouble with the colors on the back of the coaster. I know reverse text on red is not easy to read, but i have very little colors to choose from. i need to use only two colors and these are my choices: http://www.absorbentprinting.com/palette.php?id=311&product_id=3068&color_type=imprint

The red on the back is pretty dominant, but I like it. Alternative the Warm Red – Pantone Warm Red would work too... nice work!

In general you're right about the readability issues of white and black type on a red background. However, in this case it's nothing to be concerned with because of the limited text and layout. The spiral aspect of the type design isn't exactly the best layout if you're worried about readability anyway. [Which you're not!]

I found myself wanting to 'spin' the coaster to read the message. And the color is very appropriate considering the name of the festival is 'Red Bank'. [Fire Red all the way] Just make sure to 'overprint' the black on the red to avoid any trapping issues. Makes a powerful statement. Run with it!

My only suggestion would be to try switching all of the type color on the front with the fist so the words 'Red Bank' are in red. If you wanted to keep the dates in red you could move Red Bank to the opposite side.
