Firefox 1.0 shortcuts
Craig (235 points) | Mon, 2004-11-15 10:19Does anyone know how to modify Firefox 1.0's keyboard mapping? I'm so used to Safari's keyboard shortcut Apple+Up Arrow/Apple+Down Arrow for page up and page down. I get annoyed having to scroll all the way up/down a page using either the scrollbar or just the up/down arrows. Any suggestions to make life easier here?

Well, if you have a full keyboard, you can use the Page Up and Page Down keys. If not, you can use Space Bar to scroll down and Shift + Space Bar to scroll up.

how about jumping between tabs?
if i could have my safari shortcuts in firefox i'd switch in a heartbeat...
Jumping between tabs is easy. Just hit Command + 1 to go to the first tab, Command + 2 to go to the second tab, etc...
To get your Safari Bookmarks into Firefox, download Safari Bookmark Exporter and run it. All you have to do is select Firefox from the list and click a button and it imports all your Safari bookmarks into Firefox.
