First Logo

Hi everyone this is my first post on CB but I read the critiques all the time and you guys are great. This is the final draft of the logo for my (soon to be) new business, Kyler Schroeder Web Design. I know a few places aren't quite perfect but I'm not much of a graphics guy and this is the best I can do, plus the logo won't appear anywhere much bigger than on a business card so the imperfections won't show.
I would just like some feed back on the overall design and it's pros and cons of when a possible client sees it and considers my services. Thanks in advance :)

Welcome on the forum, Kyler. Pretty exciting such a new business, lot's of things to be taken care off. Having a decent logo is one of them. Be sure to choose something that really represents what your business and philosphy is.
What can I say, let me be honest; I don't like it. The shape is to sharp and unfriendly for me. If you feel you are not much of a graphics guy, why not find someone who is?

I'm not really fond of this one either, but dont worry there is hope....
One suggestion I have is to simply use existing typefaces. Type out the letters "KS" look at the letter forms and either pair them up in an interesting way or manipulate them to form some kind of ligature.
