Fixing Corrupt JPGs

I have a bunch of corrupt JPGs that were recovered from a drive quite awhile ago. They were all personal pictures and I would like to try resurrecting them as they were the only copies I had. They still seem to have the normal file size, but I can't get anything to open them. Can anyone recommend a program or anything for fixing corrupted jpgs?

Went around snooping Google and I saw this

now i know how to get the Images back:

download Irfanview (you should already have this freeware!) (http://www.irfanview.com / irfanview.net)
choose the "corrupted" images in the filebrowser and go to

File - JPG Lossless Operations - Lossless transformations with selected Thumbs...

then only choose: transformation: none, optimize JPG file, save with original date/time andKeep all APP markers.
After that the files do work again!

Why not give IrfanView a shot?

I'll have to give it a go tonight when I get home. Hopefully it will solve my problem. Thanks

GraphicConverter is great at this kind of thing. It will open pretty much anything and save it whatever format you need.

It's like BBEdit for images. Super useful.
