Focus Group: Who's Yogurt would you buy?
thornysarus (926 pencils) | Fri, 2011-12-09 16:54A client of mine is opening a new frozen yogurt shop and is struggling with the name. He's narrowed it down to three.
What's your pick and why:
1. Betsy's Yogurt & Treats
2. Lula's Yogurt & Treats
3. B•Sweet Yogurt & Treats
Much thanks in advance for your input.

Hard to judge a name with no context, logo or ad artwork. 1 sounds old fashioned, 3 sounds trendy, 2 is just a weird name.
B Sweet Yogurt and Treats sounds cute, what's his audience?
Think Pinkberry.
Basically frozen yogurt with your choice of any number of toppings from fresh fruit to gummy bears, to Captain Crunch Cereal.
Just trying to get feedback on the name options now. Obviously, branding, logo, artwork etc will be developed once we have the name issue sorted out.
Thanks again.

Missed it by one letter. Lola is one of my favorite names for anything.... women, cars, yogurt...
3 works for me - but the "& Treats" part sounds goofy and I think if he's ever successful he'll eventually drop it anyway. No time like the present, right? I say 86 it, but.... that's jmho.
As per my view this one is best...
Betsy's Yogurt & Treats...
Is it too late for me to say something? "Yogurt and Treats" doesn't convey frozen yogurt served with the toppings that I assume are meant by the word treats. I thought it was just yogurt -- plain old yogurt -- and also some kind of probably healthy treats. Sounds weird, I know, but there really are niche places like that!
I'm thinking something like "FroYo & Frills"

Lula is the President of my country (I hate him) xD
yes I'm brazilian xD
B•Sweet - all the way, the other two are a bit too 'homely'...

1.
I like Besty's for some reason. Kind of catchy, easy to remember. And I actually thought immediately of a frozen yogurt shop. If you want an odd name, we have one out here called Orange Tree, if that isn't vague, I don't know what is.
Thanks all,
They went with #2. Lula's Yogurt and Treats. Stay tuned. I'll send you all a coupon for your trouble.

God. ANOTHER copycat yogurt joint? its 1985 all over again. best advice you could give him is find a wiser use of his money. these places close as fast as they open.
and, of course, giving that kind of advice would be really good for *thorny's* bottom line as well!
Not to worry, Greg -- wgzn seems to have a "thing" about the 80s and samenesses. In his honor, I will quote great 80s comic Steven Wright for your Sunday chuckle: "Someone broke into my apartment while I was away and replaced everything with an exact replica."
