Folder Action script help!?

Does anyone know if its possible - I want to attach a Folder Action in Mac OS 10.3.9 that will produce a pop up window to inform you that the folder exceeds 4gb, when a file/folder is placed into it.

In 3.9? I dunno. . . I thought you could only use Folder Actions in 4?
