It does look like Avant Garde Extra Light (except for the "S" which has a slightly different shape) to me, though.
I agree it is very similar to aant garde but if you look at the 'R' for instance, avant garde's one does not touch the vertical line of the r, wereas this one does the and apart for G AND O all other letters on that title are more condensed than avant garde.... Overall they are wider hmmm, tricky one.
I brought this image into Illustrator and typed the exact same text in a new document and it is definitely Avant Garde, Extra Light—except for the letters R, L & S. The R—well, Avant Garde doesn't have the bar of the R (ooh, that rhymes) extending to the stem.
The letter L isn't as wide as the one in the photo.
And the spine of the S from Avant Garde-Extra Light isn't as wide as the one in the photo, either. It's more elongated. Maybe stretched???
Good question. If you ever find out. Please do let us know.

Hi There,
Thank you Suzanne for reply, I have stretched the letters and added the bar to the 'r' for the moment, I can't think of anything alse to do.
How about that?
does anyone know a font similar to those m and s?
You might find places like this helpful http://www.identifont.com/
Recently, didn't someone here post a link to a cool site that would identify one or several fonts that something might be if you uploaded a screen cap of it? I remember several of us went there to try it, and it was remarkably accurate. Anyone remember what the URL was?

I had forgotten about that site. It helped me at least come close once.
http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/
myfonts.com (and then whathefont) might be what you are talking about, but it only reads letter by letter, and that one has two on top of each other, and the file is too small I think for myfotns to recognise it.
Where you thinking of another site than myfonts.com?
Yes, that's the one I was thinking of. Thanks! It might not help in this instance, but I mean to keep that URL in my bookmarks from now on. It's saved me a lengthy search not long ago.
