Are you using the OpenType Tamil font from a pc on a mac? That might explain part of your issue...

Hi friends, Thanks for ur response.
i am using Elango TAM Fonts in Opensource software. i am using Adobe indesign CS2 full verstion.
that fonts working well in Adobe Pagemaker.
Thank u
Are you on a mac? Are you using the latest macosx?
I recommend first restarting your computer, and if tha doesn't work then repair permissions and see if the font then works.
It's strange that the opentype font (It's opentype, not opensource, right?) would work in PageMaker which is a much older program than CS2...

Make sure the font you want to load is in your Mac OS X system. if it's loaded in Classic/OS 9 then it won't necessarily load in OS X.
Which font management program do you use?

finally i decided to use Glyph option for editing purpose... though it takes a little longer time than direct typing, I found a way out for my prblm..
As i am new to IndesignCS2, could any of you suggest a way to do - Header, Footer, Cross Ref, TOC options...
Thanks,
R
Use your Master Page for multi-page formatting like headers and footers.
