Form objects don't line up right... CSS properties don't seem to apply to them
lane (6 pencils) | Tue, 2007-04-24 18:30I am working on a massive overhaul of my companies website, we are changing names and focusing on tons of new areas.
The current design I am working on is coming together nicely, I am only having an issue with getting a search box in a 30px high line.
The page - http://www.zigzap.com/work2 - is there if anyone has time and can take a look. I just can't get the darn text box and submit button to stay in the designated area... Anyone have an idea why?

try using this code for the image.
< i m g src="gfx/search_me.jpg" align="absmiddle" />
its not xhtml compliant but it works pretty close in firefox and ie too.
or just insert the image and the input in two different floating side by side divs.
*please remove the extra spaces between i m g.
EDIT:
Ivan, for some reason, the [ c o d e ] tag does not work for my example.

I posted this here and at http://www.webdesignforums.net hoping to get an answer. The nice folks over there figured it out, the problem is that my form elements didn't have a style="margin:7px" tag in them.
In any case thanks for trying to help.
chown -R us ./base
