ftofani.com - version 5 or 6
ftrc (145 pencils) | Tue, 2007-08-28 18:06online portfolios are a weird thing. you spend 20 days designing it, 2 days testing it and coding and after 20 minutes you want to change it all.
this is my lastest portfolio and i went for a minimal version.

This is minimalist? Hmm.
First (well, no, seoncd ;-) let me say your photography is beautiful. But you've made it secondary to your bio now. The photos just pop up one after the other like so many lights on a Christmas tree. Rather than click on every one of them, I decided to click on one of the links below your bio, and found myself migrating off your page. I don't think you ever want to do that. Is there any reason why the Deviantart image couldn't be right on your own site?
By the way, you need to capitalize "I" throughout your bio. It needs a few other little tweaks too, which i'd be happy to do for you.
Just a thought, though -- do you think the info in your bio (or anywhere else on your site) tells visitors what you can do for them? Do you encourage them to contact you? Why are they there?

first things first.
my bio is secondary. my work is the main focus here. and yes, when you click on links, you go away from the page. that is why they do that. and yes, i wanted that. =] they go somewhere else. and why should my deviant art open on my own site? that doesnt make any sense to me.
second. thanks for that, i am from brazil so it is possible that my english is lame. =]
and third, i am not looking for anything but a way to expose my work. this isnt for contact. the info there is just for telling people who i am and not to sell my work.
just that, i think it can be somewhat clear now. and thanks for your comment. =]

Cool site! All I'd say is make the logo bigger than the photos and make it match the top bar color. You're better off with different colors than you are with two colors that are similar but not quite the same. In music it's called playing a 'clunker note'.
