Hello.Mates
This is my new logo for (geekreporter) web site which includes info about programing ,computer soft-wares and other geeks stuff .
The client wanted to have an illustration of a geek character and so I have made this up .
Commenting on this Image is closed.
The geek needs tape between his eyes. I like this, it has personality. My one qualm is that the text is not tied in enough with the icon. Looks like an after thought.

I really don't like this.
Nothing about the mark says 'geek' and nothing says 'reporter' except for the text. The icon that is supposed to be a geek simply looks like a crazy guy without a nose who is wearing glasses - likely x-ray vision glasses and checking out all the naked ladies if I judge by the wild staring eyes.
There are so many iconic symbols for reporters and geeks and technology. So many fun and inventive ways to combine them to make a fantastic mark.
This is the best you got?
Without my sense of direction, I don't know where I'd be.

Reminds me of the old x-ray vision glasses ads in comic books too. It's an interesting piece, but it doesn't say "logo" to me.
