Geo-tagging photos

My iPhone automatically embeds geo EXIF info into photos. But the quality of the iPhone picts is not that great. How can I have geo tagging for my Canon 300D? I did try to google it, but nothing conclusive. People are doing it manually.

Ivan, I think you have to have GPS to do that automatically. Obviously, iPhones have that, but does your camera? I doubt it -- maybe when you download the pix to your HD, you could do a global entry on all of the ones for whatever coordinates fit. But I'm probably the last person on earth to know about this for sure. I wonder if National Geographic photographers have some kind of fix for this, as a was to code the authority of their site work, copyright, etc.?
