glue ear in indesigns

Hi

im creating a magazine which is going to have a 10mm glue ear on one side of the back cover.

the problem is the page size is 210h 210w

to create a glue ear do i need to make the page size bigger or do i run the tab in the outsided of the page?

if i make the page size bigger it will effect both pages and its only the back cover that needs adjusting.

however when i export the magazine with the glue ear outside the page dimensions the pdf does not show it.

Hope this all makes sense

Steve

First, ask whomever is going to have to print your file.

Second, the pdf should include any pertinent information. I would include the Glue Ear in the size of your document and notate in a pms color where crops/folds/glue ears are so they can make those instructions into its own plate that won't print.
