ActiveInbox for Gmail help with project management
Ivan | Mon, 2011-03-21 14:51ActiveInbox brings simple and free GTD based project management for Gmail.
It's main feature is the ability to categorize emails as: Action, Someday, Waiting on. It also allows you to group emails into Projects. This functionality could theoretically be simulated with the built in labels, but it would not be so easy and elegant as with ActiveInbox.
The secondary functionality of being able to see related conversations within a project can also be done with labels by opening a new tab and performing a search on a certain label, but again it's not as elegant as with ActiveInbox.
The pay version of ActiveInbox allows for more advanced features such as timing and even faster navigation.

Pretty sweet. I been thinking Google was going to put something like this in their "labs" area. Thanks. I'm going to give this thing a shot.

OtherInbox does the same thing. They have a free version too, and it works quite well.
