Yeah... there definitely needs to be a Google Earth for OS X. I use it on my PC at home and it's one of the most amazing programs I've ever installed... map annotation has really caught on and it's a shame to not see it available on OS X. :-(
Agreed. With all the money they have right now, they should be able to hire a full-time Mac developer or two. And this is true not just for Google Earth, but also their other apps. Like the video player, or the rumored up-and-coming IM-client.
Agree. For some reason Google always made PC a priority.
could it be because almost everyone on the planet (who owns a computer) has a Windoze PC? Even most of us.
(That would be an interesting poll BTW, Who owns just mac(s), mac(s) and PC(s) and just PC(s)...)

the poll should also have, who wants a mac, who wants a pc (... as if someones gonna admit to that :P )

Google Earth is not just a frontend for google map ??...so i think it will be simple to make one for the mac....i think
Google Earth is like Google Maps++. In Google Earth, the map data is mapped to a sphere, and terrain hightmaps from the USGS and various other sources are also applied to the sphere's surface, so that you actually end up with terrain. You can view the ground at an angle (which is great to see the terrain but not so great to see the map itself.) You can import layers for all sorts of different things, and you can annotate the Earth as much as you like. Annotations are really the best part of Google Earth, IMHO. I've seen Macs run Celestia, so GE should be no problem to get working... it's just a matter of getting someone to do it.
