Grafitti 101

Grafitti 101

This is just a poster for a friend I worked on. Not complete yet, but wanted to see what you think so far. BTW. the words on the right are purposely not meant to be read, it's just Lorem Ipsum.

I like the layout, it's a bit scary. But it's hard to judge creative if there is no brief to put againts it. You know what I mean? :)

ooo,, but it's not really graffiti

you should make "live.learn" with the font subway adn maybe make it a little bigger (going a little over the line maybe?)

I love it! Looks really nice! What size is the font in the paragraph though? Is it easy to read? Also, wouldn't it be easier to read if you placed it over the black part and not the grey?

I have to disagree with PIMPTRIX. I doesn't look as nice as it could. It looks like you messed around in Photoshop to get the image and because of that it looks really fake and unprofessional. I'd say make more of a connection between the red parts and the photograph, if thats the direction you want to go.

I think you might have a hierarchy issue. When do you want me to read the "live learn" part? Because right now, it is lost. The title works because it is in the area that gives it the highest contrast.

Depending on what audience you are going for, you might want to either make the type more like the image, or image more like the type, because right now, because one is refined and the other messy, they are on two different layers.

Hope this helps, please post again when you make revisions.

It looks "nice" but what does that mean? Who are you talking to? what's it's intended use? I don't think any real critique can happen until we know what you were trying to accomplish.

Having text with no point kind of sums up this design. What are you trying to accomplish?

Instead of Graffiti I think it should read 'Blood'. I see no graffiti here.

Is this an ad? A two page magazine spread? A website? We need some context, as other posters have suggested.

Taken on its own merits, there's some good rough art here, though. Just needs some direction.

I love reading your comments but this particulr submission is nearly 2-1/2 years old and I doubt Infinate Loop will ever see your response. Why dig up these extremely old critiques?
