there seems to be a subtle conflict between the crosses and the angel. their appearance together seems a bit contrived or forced. there are much "cooler" grave/headstone images out there...
The "G" in "Graves" looks a bit shaky, and it's throwing the weight of the text off center. This seems to be minorly enhanced by the slope of the angel's wings, pulling your attention over to the "S".
J. I agree... there is a lil problem with the cross and the word brewing. I'm probably going to rework this one into something a bit more ominous. The client doesn't have a problem with the G because the stylistic integrity of the font out weighs the illegiblity. He did however have a problem with the angle. I'm going to look for some bones and see what I can come up with along that line. They seem to like stout brews so I'm going to go with a darker look all together... thankyou for your input!
1. The Company name isn't cohesive and the font is very distorted. You'd never see a Gothic font printed on a path when printed back in the day.
2. The blurred edge of the black and white photo will not print well on a label which I would assume to be a lower res lpi output for the label you're designing.
3. The border looks blurry and rough; not final by any means. This goes for the entire design, really.
I recommend you research other beer labels for inspiration as what you have so far isn't going to make this one fly off the shelves...
Creativebits is a blog about creativity, design and Macs. We also have a critique section where you can post your work to get opinions and a forum to discuss any design related topics.

Just a few problems:
