Your link to the original isn't working.

I can't see the copy you're referring to. Is it the mouseprint to the left of the small logo? If so, who will see it? The only copy I see is the command, "open your eyes."

Two things are wrong with this concept.

1. The command "open your eyes" should be addressed to the viewer of the ad, if you're trying to get them to recognize new media. With the copy right next to a newborn baby (your metaphor for new media) who has closed eyes, it seems as if you are telling new media to open its eyes.

2. Using a newborn baby to represent new media is telling people that new media is extremely vulnerable, sees, hears, knows nothing, is operating purely on instinct, can't even walk or talk yet, and needs constant monitoring. Is that the impression you really want to convey?
