Hi, this is something i did in a rush, it is for my wife, she is trying to start a small icecream place and the name is Helados Jinotepinos, Jinotepinos is what you call the people from the town Jinotepe, just if you were curious,

Well congrats on picking the right colors - you can do a lot with a two-color piece using cyan and magenta. There are lots of pinks, and purples and blues to explore using just those two inks - and they'll work very well for an ice cream shoppe (toss in some greys too when you have all four colors - looks wonderful). That said - your "ice cream" doesn't look like ice cream to me. Spend a little time on the shapes - even when ice cream is scooped out with the circular scoop it doesn't come out that round - it has texture and form. Have your wife scoop out a snack for you and recreate it for the logo. And spread the color around - mix and match those two and you'll get a world of color. The color is too blocky here.
thank you for the insight D. i will definitely start working, see i am just getting off school but there is a lot to learn, i am glad i picked the right place.
Glad to help. One final note - even though this is a freebie for the wife, it can be a really fun piece. So don't just crank something out to get it done - take advantage of the opportunity and be creative. Once you get out of school you'll be doing a lot of boring corporate stuff and mindless jobs a monkey could do (no offense, Monkey) Fun jobs like this are few and far between for most artists.
Really like the use of colour and the illustration style, the detail needs much more work, but I think you've got some good elemetns in there.
