HeliWeb
Mintsauce (1004 pencils) | Sat, 2006-08-19 21:27I'm doing a project for a Helicopter Company. They do charters for various clients including Corporate, Government and Emergency (Fire and Rescue.) They also do "Vietnam Style" Tourist flights in Hueys. Their main focus however is the Corporate market. I have 5 previews here, I prefer #5, but would like some feedback from the CreativeBits crowd.
The banner head is a flash element: http://lightbulb.co.za/exec/banner.swf
Feedback would be valued.

In my opinion design no.4.
I do not like the logo/intro thing. Something is missing here, it looks too empty, like some template thing from a web. Please, don't get me wrong, I enjoy the rest. I would just think more about some eye catching logo/entry graphic. However, it cannot be to much catchy since the visitors should focus on the other stuff. Moreover, the clients are more specific customers, engineers, etc. so they are not very sophisticated in design - from this point of view it is a good rough design of this "logo-entry" design.
Regards!

Hi Paka, thanks for the feedback, really valued. As you can see I have attached the actual "flash" bannerhead.

OK, sorry, my fault! :)
Nice page, eng guys will like it. They do not pay so much attention to "fancy" stuff. But please don't take it offensive :)
From artistic point of view always in every project something always could be changed, but the thing is customers got completely different design taste.
Once I was designing CD cover for some software. I did 5 designs, one was generally speaking awesome, as some people said (friend, family, etc.). I was deeply convinced they need to choose this fancy design. Additionaly, I did one crappy cover, like almost every kid could do.
Guess what? They have choosen the crappy one :) And who can tell me why? It didn't even resemble software purpose :)
