Is this what you mean:?

You can probably create it in PS easier:
1. Select one diamong in a square.
2. Make it a pattern, by selecting Edit/Define Pattern.
2. Fill up the letters with the pattern.
3. Add the sparkles.

You can try to use this image for the pattern:

I wash I'd find a tut on doing a diamond in photoshop now.(?)

I was wishing to do it in Ai but I guess to get it real looking
photoshop would be better.

You could always create the diamond with a gradient mesh in AI.

A little hard but very doable.

I've put a copy at http://tinypic.com/5zhziv

This image is a preview comp that Getty lets people use to see roughly how it will work in their project. It's probably very illegal to use for commercial purposes. If that's what you're doin' with it, you might wanna buy it or find a jeweler who'll let you take a picture of a diamond. Getty has a kind of gestapo that looks for its images being used without a license.

I think you should be able to use it if you modify it until it's not recognizable. For example in this case you can posterize the image and use it as a pattern. You have to basically recreate the image and use the original just as a reference.

If you use the original you have to buy it or check on http://sxc.hu if someone shot his 5 karat diamond with a disposable camera. :)

when I change the size of the pattern in photoshop
it gets blurry what's the deal? Only at 100% its sharp...
if I go to 20% or 40% its blurry..

I hate that

Do you mean the opacity?

I think only the 10%, 25% and 50% are sharp.
