Help! Illustrator CS weirdness ...

Hi All,

I've looked everywhere for advice on this, but decided to turn to those who would most likely have encountered the problem.

Since upgrading to Tiger, I can't click on any empty space on an Illustrator artboard without switching to the desktop or whatever happens to be below the active window. I also can't drag anything around in it without dropping it onto the desktop or (again) whatever happens to be below the active window. Option-clicking a vector point is pure hell.

This is extremely frustrating and time consuming. I can't seem to find the answer. I've tried the program in other accounts and it works fine. So I assumed it was a preference problem in my primary account.
I deleted the prefs and performed a permission fix, but the problem persists.

I'm using Illustrator 10 in the meantime.

Anybody have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Carlo

Hi All,

I guess all's right with the world as the problem appears fixed with today's 10.4.1 update. Of course, it may pop up again so I'm a little curious to see if any of you have encoutered this before.
Still want to know if anyone figured out the problem/fix for themselves in the past.

Thanks,
Carlo
