Rotary International District 3190, with 70 clubs in Bangalore, Mandya, Tumkur, Kolar districts of Karnataka and chittor district in Andra Pradesh is launching scheme Akshara-a scheme to help perk up literacy between children studying in government schools, by distribute free note books to school children.
To inspire a sense of patriotism and to bring awareness on civic rights, the note books contain information about culture, heritage, constitution civic rights, environmental science and the national anthem.
As many as 2 lakh note books will be circulated to students of V to X standard. A quiz competition will be conduct in August and the winners of these competitions will be invited to participate in a quiz competition at Inter-city general forum on youth, to be held in September 2007.

better then the first. as far as type placement and spacing. i would definitely get rid of the little snow flake looking things going up his neck.. they are just not needed and out of place
MUCH MUCH better than the first.
I'm not a big fan of the flowery things on his neck.
and I'd lose the period after the headline, it's not needed.
Maybe drop kids and just have the headline as 'Help' which would make more of a statement IMHO.
