help please!

hello,
can anybody help please?
i´m trying to track down the name of an artist and a particular piece of artwork.
is anybody familiar with the "walking man" logo of mute records? it is a view from above of a walking man.
the piece of art i´m trying to track down consists of a large number of similar "walking men" all walking in a cross pattern. the order of the walking men turns chaotic and confused as the walking men collide within the centre of the cross. it is all in red upon a white background.
i saw this work a few years back and it has proved impossible to trace the name of the artist and the pieces title. a few people have said that my description matches a picture in the musuem of modern art in new york but alas the name escapes them, as it does me.
any help would be fantastic, thanks.
